Meet Sidney, a fantastic 4-year-old Cockerdor. We were called by our local vets to help Sidney as his owners wanted him put to sleep. Sidney has lived happily with a family with children all his life. However, when another baby was introduced to the family, Sidney growled, leading them to decide to rehome him. He was quickly placed with a family in Norfolk, but after a 3-hour car journey with strangers and being introduced to a house full of visitors during Christmas, Sidney became scared and snapped at a visitor. After another incident during a family meal, the family called the rescue involved, but they wouldn’t help. They then contacted Sidney's original family, who returned him and took him to the vets to end his life. In our rescue, Sidney is an absolute delight. He loves to play ball, enjoys a fuss, and gives sloppy kisses. He has never snapped at anyone here and gets stressed in kennels. Sidney would thrive in a calm home with people who have time to walk him, train him, and, most importantly, play ball.
